Our English-style equestrian program is offered as an optional activity. Campers may choose the regular (twice per week) or intensive (four times per week) riding program, both of which provide personal attention to riders of all abilities.
We teach horsemanship, equine behavior, riding skills, groundwork and tacking, walking, trotting, cantering and jumping. Our highly trained staff take great care in matching each child with an appropriate horse. We select our privately owned horses carefully based on the riding level of the campers, which leads to happier horses, campers and staff.
Many of our campers learn to horseback ride at camp, and look forward to riding each summer. Some campers participate in horseback riding at home as well, and have a passion for caring for horses.
All riders have the opportunity to display their skills in our end-of-summer riding show, as well as at riding inter-camps.
Our horseback riding facilities include stables with space for 10 horses, 3 teaching rings and trails.
