Horseback Riding

Our English-style equestrian program is offered as an optional activity. Campers may choose the regular or intensive riding program, both of which provide personal attention to riders of all abilities.

CR Regular Riding

Our Regular Riding program is designed especially for campers with little to no prior horse experience. Each lesson includes hands-on horse care and instruction in English-style riding. Campers will learn how to groom, tack, lead, and care for horses while developing foundational riding skills, including posture, steering, and transitions between walk and trot. The program emphasizes safety, confidence, and connection with horses, culminating in a fun showcase to celebrate each rider’s growth.

CR Intensive Riding

For campers who love horses and already have riding experience, our Intensive Riding program offers a more in-depth exploration of horsemanship and English riding. This program combines hands-on horse care with advanced mounted instruction, including foundational work in dressage and jumping. Campers will groom, tack, and untack their horses, take on greater responsibility in the barn, and deepen their understanding of horse behavior and well-being.

In the ring, riders will refine their skills in control, balance, and communication, working on dressage patterns, transitions, and rhythm, as well as developing proper jumping position and technique over ground poles and small fences. This program emphasizes strong fundamentals, rider-horse partnership, and steady progression…perfect for horse-loving campers ready to challenge themselves and grow as equestrians.
