“If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes!” Yes, the weather changes quite a bit here. We have mostly sunny and warm days and cool evenings. Staff orientation days in June can sometimes be rainy and cold, so we recommend a sweater. Definitely remember to pack a rain jacket too!

Yes! All staff are off 3 nights per week, beginning at 6pm. There is a 1am curfew for the safety of all. Trust us, you will need your sleep!
All staff who live with campers also get one activity period (1 hour) off each day. In addition, if you are on-duty at night, you will be off-duty during rest hour.
You will get 6 full days off during the summer, including 1 day during staff orientation when all staff get the day off together.
Please note that due to the nature of the work, CRew schedules (medical, kitchen, maintenance, office) are slightly different. Please contact us should you have any questions.
Plenty! For your short breaks during the day we have a counselor retreat that has a television and DVD player, games, and a place to relax. There is also a staff exercise room with a treadmill, basic weights, etc. Many staff enjoy going for walks or jogs on the path just outside of camp, doing laundry, jumping in the lake, talking with friends and family at home, or taking a nap.
You are free to use many of the camp facilities that are not being used by campers. For example: kayaks, paddle boards, and sports equipment.
On your nights off you may enjoy going to a local restaurant, movie theatre or ice cream shop. There is also a large outlet mall not too far away.
When you have a day off there is so much to see and explore. You can go camping and hiking in the White Mountains. Each summer a group of staff hike Mt. Washington! You can go eat lobster on the Maine coast, head down to Boston for a Red Sox game, go to the beach, or even just relax at camp!
We will supply you with one navy blue and one white CR T-shirt. We ask that you wear navy or white tops and neutral colored (white, navy, khaki, gray) bottoms. You can order staff clothing before coming to camp and it will be available for you to pick up during staff orientation. We have t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, hats, shorts, water bottles and more!
There are special event days when we encourage you to dress up. Some examples are: Blue & White Sundays, 4th of July, and International Night. We’d love for you to share your culture and traditions with us!
We have laundry machines for staff to use at no cost.
All cabins have electricity, hot showers and toilets. Most staff live in cabins with campers, in a separate living area.
There is a set of lockers in each cabin available for your use. We also have a small padlock that we can check out to you for the summer. We recommend using the locker to store valuables such as a laptop, cell phone, passport or wallet.
